The police report, signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Abdul from the Force Criminal Investigation Department, also cleared Techsel Products Limited, Mr Idorenyin Udo Ekere, Dr Aniekan Udo Ekere, and Utibe Idorenyin Ekere.

Abasiama Idong had accused the former NDDC boss of conspiring and defrauding Akwa Savings and Loans Limited of N118 million. However, the investigation found no evidence to support the allegations.

The report stated that Mr Nsima Ekere did not authorize any payment or close any Akwa Ibom State Government account with Akwa Savings and Loans Ltd, as he had no role in the bank. It also clarified the business relationship between Lossela Nigeria Limited and Techsel Products Ltd.

According to the report, Lossela Nigeria Limited had a business relationship with Techsel Products Ltd, and $2,500,000 US Dollars was deposited with Akwa Savings and Loans Limited. The money was later requested and credited into Techsel Products Ltd’s account based on written instructions from Lossela Nigeria Ltd.

The police concluded that there was no visible illegal transaction between the suspects, and the petition was deemed a calculated attempt to smear and ridicule the political ambition of Mr. Nsima Ekere, who is also a former MD of NDDC. The report stated that a prima facie case of conspiracy, forgery, and stealing could not be established against Ekere, Techsel Products Limited, Mr Idorenyin Udo Ekere, and Dr Aniekan Udo Ekere, as alleged.
