Breaking News: Kaduna Bombing: Chief Of Defence Staff Assures, Such Incidents Will Not Recur

Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, has expressed regret and issued an apology for the unintended bombing of Tundun Biri, a community in Kaduna State. The incident resulted in the unfortunate loss of over a hundred lives, along with numerous injuries.

Appearing before the House of Representatives Committee on Defence on Wednesday, Musa emphasized that the bombing was not intentional and assured that such a tragic event would not be repeated. Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, he pledged to take corrective measures to prevent its recurrence.

President Bola Tinubu has called for a comprehensive investigation into the incident, seeking clarity and accountability. Musa, addressing the House committee, stated, “We are taking steps to ensure that we address it and so that it doesn’t reoccur. We are meant to protect our citizens, not to kill them. That is highly regrettable. We assure you that we will continue to work until everybody is free, and there is no more threat to any life and property in Nigeria.
