In a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu stressed the importance of prioritizing children, advocating for the swift return of the school feeding program at the local, state, and federal levels. The meeting followed the denial of internal strife within the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, with accusations of transactional focus and unaudited accounts by a former director of Media and Public Affairs, Abdulrazaque Barkindo.

President Tinubu condemned the recent killings in Plateau State and reiterated his directive to security agencies to halt the violence and pursue those responsible. He emphasized the sanctity of human life and called for a change of mindset among individuals with contrary beliefs, highlighting the need for peace and stability in Nigeria.

Acknowledging the presence of Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Tinubu commended him for his efforts to peacefully resolve political challenges in the state. The president also discussed the 2024 Budget proposals, indicating a review meeting earlier in the day with key ministers.

NGF Chairman Abdulrazaq expressed solidarity with Plateau State, extending condolences to the victims and pledging support for President Tinubu’s administration’s bold decisions and reforms. Despite acknowledging the challenges faced, Abdulrazaq affirmed the state government’s commitment to standing strong during these difficult times.
