Expressing concern, the source warned that if the internal conflicts within the party are not promptly addressed, the opposing All Progressives Congress (APC) might exploit the situation to exacerbate existing issues. The party insider lamented the PDP’s failure to address pressing matters since losing the presidential elections, highlighting the proliferation of court cases as a significant hindrance.

The anonymous party chieftain commented, “The APC, which should be grappling with internal crises, has managed to stabilize its internal affairs. However, the PDP has been sluggish in responding to its challenges. Atiku’s continued involvement is contributing to the crisis, as he seeks to retain dominance. Newer party members are resistant to his influence, and the governors, unlike in the past, appear disengaged without taking decisive actions to resolve issues.”
