In a telephone interview with The Punch on Saturday, December 30, Ladipo refuted the claims, labeling them as false and attributinghttps He asserted that senior party officials would not find such an agreement necessary, highlighting the party’s commitment to securing victory in court and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s dedication to delivering quality services to the people of Kano.

The Chairman of the APC in Kano state, Abdullahi Abbas, also dismissed any notion of an agreement with the NNPP, dismissing it as fiction. Meanwhile, the APC Former Special Advisers Forum expressed strong confidence in the Supreme Court upholding the judgments of the Election Petition Tribunal and the Appeal Court in the Kano governorship dispute.

The Supreme Court, which had previously reserved judgment on the NNPP’s appeal affirming Yusuf as governor of Kano state, took action on Thursday, December 21. The court’s decision is eagerly awaited, with opinions on Governor Yusuf’s chances at the Supreme Court varying among legal experts. Kano-based lawyer Umar Sa’ad Hassan predicted that the NNPP governor has limited prospects of overturning the appellate court’s verdict.
