Despite the two-month period since his removal, Nwokocha remains bewildered by the court’s verdict. In a live radio interview on Family Love 99.9 FM Umuahia, he expressed surprise at being ousted, considering his widespread acceptance and popularity among the people of Abia Central. Additionally, Nwokocha conveyed his disappointment that the Appeal Court did not reconsider its decision despite the evidence he presented.

Nwokocha argued that the legal basis for his removal was “inconsistent with legal proceedings” and should not have been applied. He lamented, “I am still surprised that somebody can make such a judgment. I am still surprised till now.”

Despite his hope for reinstatement by the Supreme Court, Nwokocha revealed that the apex court rejected his case, directing it to remain within the jurisdiction of the Appeal Court.

Having recently been received by his constituents, Nwokocha has resigned himself to the situation, leaving everything to God. He also praised the political camaraderie between Governor Alex Otti and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Benjamin Kalu, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between the Labour Party (LP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders for the development of Abia State.
