Refuting the speculations, Governor Yusuf criticized individuals he deemed as “useless” for spreading unfounded information on a local radio program, alleging a physical altercation between him and the SSG. He dismissed such claims, attributing them to politically motivated individuals who seek to exploit the situation for their benefit.

The governor clarified that SSG Bichi is currently recovering from an illness, and upon his return, he will resume his duties without any changes to his position. Governor Yusuf emphasized that appointing the State Head of Service as the acting SSG was a temporary measure to ensure the seamless functioning of the office during Bichi’s absence.

Highlighting the importance of the SSG role, Governor Yusuf affirmed that leaving the position vacant was not an option due to its sensitive nature. He made these statements during the swearing-in ceremony of new permanent secretaries and special advisers at the Africa House of the Government House on Tuesday.

Asserting the resilience of his administration, Governor Yusuf declared that no amount of propaganda would hinder the government’s pursuit of its goals.
