In a Presidential Security Briefing at the State House, Abuja, Tinubu expressed dissatisfaction with recent incidents, notably the mistargeted bombing in Kaduna that claimed 95 lives. The President called such errors “unacceptable” and urged a thorough investigation.

While acknowledging the military’s successes, Tinubu warned against recurrent strikes on civilians, emphasizing that coordination between agencies has improved but celebrating is premature until the nation can overcome security threats and redirect resources for economic expansion.

President Tinubu highlighted the significance of conclusively addressing security challenges for Nigeria’s economic goals. He urged the armed forces to focus on achieving sustainable oil production and reiterated the commitment to a $1 trillion economy within the next few years.

Addressing the military, Tinubu stated, “Your task is clear. We will sustain our momentum. Failure is not an option under my leadership.” He pledged to aggressively uproot anyone sabotaging national efforts, both within and outside the country.

The President also commended promoted officers for their dedication, loyalty, and commitment to duty. Three officers, including the PAF Commander, BoG Commander, and Police CPSO, were decorated with new ranks in recognition of their exemplary service.

The ceremony, attended by top officials and aides, reflected Nigeria’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding dedicated service to the nation. Tinubu concluded by expressing hope that the officers’ continued leadership would be acknowledged by the country.
