In a post made on X (formerly Twitter) at approximately 10:17 a.m. on Monday, Sadiya Umar-Farouk disclosed her compliance with the EFCC’s summons. She stated, “I have willingly presented myself at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters to respond to the agency’s invitation and provide clarifications on certain matters under investigation.”
Earlier, Vanguard had reported that Sadiya Umar-Farouk, through her legal representative, Sir Oladipo Okpeseyi (SAN), had formally communicated with the EFCC, requesting an extension for her appearance, citing health reasons.
