Expressing his dismay on X, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart emphasized the unfortunate inability of TB Joshua to defend himself against the myriad allegations that have surfaced in the wake of his passing.
In a social media post, Momodu remarked, “FREE ADVERT… Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua in his lifetime suffered loads of attacks. And even in his death, he continues to generate controversies. Unfortunately, he’s not here to defend himself.”
The BBC documentary, released on Monday, accused TB Joshua of various transgressions, including rape and torture. The comprehensive investigative report, conducted over a span of two years, featured testimonies from 25 eyewitnesses who levied accusations ranging from sexual assault and physical abuse to fabricated miracles and trauma.
Among the damning allegations were claims by five Britons who accused TB Joshua of rape and forced abortions that allegedly occurred within a secretive Lagos compound over almost two decades. The late televangelist was also accused of orchestrating fake “miracle healings,” broadcasted to millions of viewers worldwide.
