Acknowledging the need for unity, Tinubu urged the governing party to focus on healing the nation by fostering a collective vision and directing resources towards nation-building. He highlighted the significance of inclusivity, ownership, and sustainability in development policies for their real impact on people’s lives. Tinubu expressed the belief that Nigeria, with its abundant human, natural, and material resources, should not face difficulties in providing quality infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

Tinubu remarked, “We have no reason to be poor.” Reflecting on the country’s past and current challenges, he attributed issues such as infrastructural decay, inadequate education, and healthcare facilities to a lack of effective governance rather than a cursed state. He encouraged a concerted effort to address these challenges by engaging all governors, irrespective of political affiliations, in the school-feeding program to promote education. Tinubu advocated for measuring success by the return of children to classrooms rather than mere statistical figures, emphasizing the need to view economic growth in terms of value and empowerment. He even proposed the establishment of a committee to scrutinize and enhance existing methods, expressing his readiness to invest in the school feeding initiative.
