The assailants, demanding a staggering N60 million ransom, escalated their cruelty by killing Michelle Ariyo, the lawyer’s eldest child, when the ransom couldn’t be met. Michelle’s lifeless body was discarded near Ushafa in Bwari Area Council. The kidnappers continue to pose a grave threat, insisting on further ransom payments and vowing harm to Ariyo’s remaining three children and wife if their demands go unmet.

In a poignant message to his colleagues, Ariyo detailed the horrifying events, revealing the invaders’ military attire and the trauma his family endured. Despite raising N7 million through the generosity of friends and family, the kidnappers callously rejected the funds. Ariyo urgently implored the NBA for intervention, emphasizing the critical need for swift action to save the lives of his loved ones still in captivity.
