The news was first shared by Uncle Deji, a prominent influencer on Twitter, who took to his handle to express the positive development. He stated, “GOOD NEWS!!! All the 45 passengers earlier kidnapped along Benue-Enugu express road have been successfully rescued by the Gallant Troops of the Nigerian Army. No ransom paid while some of the kidnappers were arrested.”

This comes in response to the harrowing incident that occurred just a day ago when gunmen abducted approximately 45 passengers traveling in three commercial vehicles along the Otukpo-Enugu Road in Orokam of Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State. The swift and effective response from the Nigerian Army underscores their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
