Heartbreaking Crime: 90-Year-Old Woman And Granddaughter Brutally Killed In Katsina Tragedy

According to reports from the Daily Trust, the elderly victim was strangled, while her granddaughter faced a gruesome fate at the hands of unknown assailants. Allegedly, the attackers ripped open Bilkisu’s stomach and removed her kidney, although this particular detail could not be independently verified.

Prior to this tragic event, the victims’ residence behind Tashar Kudu had been targeted by some youths who burgled the house and stole their plasma TV. The elderly woman had reported the burglary to the police, and an investigation was underway at the time of the heinous crime.

A resident of Daura revealed, “The TV was recovered, and an investigation was ongoing when this terrible thing happened. Only further investigation will reveal whether those who stole the TV have any direct or indirect connection with the murder.”

Confirming the incident, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, a spokesman for the State Police Command, acknowledged that details were sketchy at the moment. The police will likely intensify efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the murders and establish any potential links to the previous burglary.
