Shettima, acting as the representative for President Bola Tinubu, aims to fervently support the Super Eagles in their quest to secure the continental trophy. The announcement of this departure came through a post on Sunday, shared by Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, on his X handle.

It’s worth noting that Shettima had previously represented President Tinubu in the semi-final showdown, a match in which Nigeria emerged victorious against South Africa. The presidency, in a statement released on Saturday, emphasized the Vice President’s pivotal role and underscored President Tinubu’s belief that Shettima’s presence at the finals signifies the government’s steadfast backing of the team and commitment to its success.

The Federal Government, through the statement, urged all Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to join forces in supporting the Super Eagles, encouraging everyone to raise their voices in unity and create a collective wave of national pride that will propel the team to glory.
