The Commissioner of Police, Ali Kaigama, disclosed during a press briefing on Thursday that Yusuf was taken into custody alongside 12 others while en route to Tambuwal for an undisclosed mission.
The Commissioner elaborated, stating that the detained health worker was responsible for attending to injured suspects. Notably, the police seized three AK-47 rifles along with 116 rounds of live ammunition from the group.
During an interview with the media, Yusuf openly admitted to administering medical care to bandits whenever they suffered gunshot wounds. Additionally, he revealed that he received payments amounting to N100,000 for each patient treated.
