Driver And Four Passengers Escape Death As Car Somersaults In Abuja

A harrowing incident unfolded as a driver and four passengers narrowly escaped a fatal accident while traveling from Zuba to Garki Area 1 in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The vehicle, laden with 30 car batteries in the trunk, flipped multiple times before coming to a halt. The survivors, though injured, were fortunate to evade death and were promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Mr. Gabriel Anakobe, one of the passengers, revealed that he had boarded the car unaware that the driver had loaded the trunk with used batteries. He attributed the accident to the overloading of the vehicle and expressed gratitude for the preservation of his life and the lives of his fellow passengers.

“I thank God for my life and that of other passengers. Although some of them sustained injuries, nobody died,” he recounted, placing responsibility on the driver for the unfortunate incident.
