In a recent interview with Billboard News in Los Angeles, Nigerian singer Fireboy DML, born Adedamola Adefolahan, disclosed that he turned down several offers from prominent artists and music executives before ultimately signing with rapper Olamide’s YBNL Nation in 2018….READ ALSO
The ‘Peru’ hitmaker revealed that despite receiving tempting offers from heavyweight figures in the music industry, he was convinced that joining Olamide’s label was the right move for his career.
“I declined offers from notable artists who were eager to sign me. However, when Olamide approached me, I felt it was the best decision to make. This choice has significantly influenced my decision-making process ever since,” he stated.
Fireboy DML’s decision to join YBNL Nation in 2018 paved the way for his musical journey, culminating in the release of his debut album, ‘Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps,’ the subsequent year.
