In response to the sustained appreciation of the Naira in the foreign exchange market, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced a 5.3% reduction in customs rates. The new rate for customs duties collection is now set at N1,544.081 per US dollar, according to the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS).
Reported by Daily Post, the revised customs rate aims to align with the ongoing positive trend in the Naira’s value in the forex market.
