These sentiments were shared during her appearance on a recent episode of the Channels Television program, Morning Brief.
Born to a German-American mother and a Nigerian father of Yoruba descent, the actress expressed a preference for English, Nigeria’s lingua franca, suggesting that other languages should be set aside.
“Speaking Yoruba is draining, sometimes it hurts my nerves. The first language that we know in Nigeria is English. Let’s put all the other languages aside,” she stated.
Despite this, Ade acknowledged the efforts of her father in exposing her to Nigerian culture, language, and all things Nigerian by bringing her to Nigeria for education and immersion.
