President Bola Tinubu has strongly condemned the recent abductions in Borno and Kaduna states, expressing deep concern for the vulnerable victims, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) and students. The President, through his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, has instructed security and intelligence agencies to promptly rescue the victims and ensure that the perpetrators face justice for their reprehensible actions.

According to Ngelale, President Tinubu received briefings from security chiefs and expressed confidence in the successful rescue of the victims. The President emphasized that nothing less than the rescue of the abducted citizens is acceptable and pledged decisive administration of justice against those responsible.

In addition, President Tinubu conveyed sympathy to the families of the victims, assuring them that efforts are underway to reunite them with their loved ones. The abductions involved Boko Haram terrorists seizing a significant number of female IDPs in Ngala, Borno State, and bandits kidnapping students from the LEA Primary and Junior Secondary School in Kaduna State.

The President’s statement underscores a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the abducted citizens and holding the perpetrators accountable for their actions.
