A 13-year-old boy, named Goodluck Onwe, has been joyfully reunited with his family in Anambra after a harrowing ordeal. Initially declared missing, Goodluck was discovered wandering the streets of Abakaliki and subsequently rescued on February 4, 2024, by the diligent operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ebonyi State.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that the boy had been residing with a relative in Abakaliki but decided to run away with the intention of returning to his parents, who reside on Peter Okonkwo Street in Aguleri, Anambra East LGA, Anambra State.
The Public Relations Officer of NSCDC, Anambra State Command, SC Edwin Okadigbo, shared that the Ebonyi State Command alerted their Anambra counterparts to trace the origin and parents of the child. In response, the Anambra State Command took swift action to locate Goodluck’s parents for identification and reunification. Following a meticulous verification process, the boy has now been successfully handed over to his father, Mr. Onwe Sabastine. The family can now rejoice in the safe return of their loved one.
