Expressing deep disappointment, Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has strongly criticized the standard of meals provided to the state’s inhabitants as part of the Ramadan Feeding initiative.
A substantial budget of N6 billion was allocated by the state governor to ensure that nutritious meals would be distributed to those in need across all 44 local government areas during the holy month of fasting.
However, circulating on social media platforms is a video capturing the governor’s visible dismay at the meager portions and lack of protein evident in the food served. Some recipients were observed receiving meals that lacked sufficient sustenance, while others were served rice devoid of any accompanying protein source.
