Fake Pastor Faces Jail Time For Marrying Two Women At Once: Polygamy Scandal Unfolds....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
A fraudulent pastor, who had amassed at least 10 wives, has been incarcerated after marrying two women simultaneously.
Orlando Coleman, masquerading as a traveling bishop, traversed various black churches in the US, ensnaring spouses along the way.
The 51-year-old manipulated congregations by posing as a clergy member, deceiving at least 10 women into marrying him.
Hailing from Houston, Coleman portrayed himself on social media as the founder of multiple churches and a Pentecostal preacher.
Despite pleading guilty to bigamy in July 2023 and receiving probation for marrying two women concurrently, he brazenly wedded another woman merely two months later.
Now, he faces three years behind bars for his pattern of marrying multiple women since 2019.
Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg denounced Coleman’s actions, highlighting his exploitation of women for financial gain under the guise of religious authority.
In Texas, bigamy, defined as being married to more than one person concurrently, carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
Coleman’s web of deceit began to unravel in 2021 when one of his wives discovered financial transactions between him and another woman in Virginia. Subsequent investigation revealed that both women were married to Coleman simultaneously, prompting charges of bigamy.
Despite his guilty plea and probation, Coleman disregarded the law, marrying yet another woman in Kentucky, leading to a revocation of his probation.
During a hearing on March 11, a judge sentenced Coleman to three years in prison.
Prosecutors revealed Coleman’s modus operandi, whereby he exploited women for housing and financial security. By posing as a Protestant pastor or bishop, Coleman would propose marriage, allowing him to reside with his new spouse while she shouldered the expenses.
