In an official ceremony held in Abuja yesterday, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), inaugurated a six-member panel consisting of governors tasked with coordinating the party’s endeavors within the six geo-political zones of Nigeria.

During the inauguration, Ganduje emphasized the pivotal role of the appointed governors in fostering regular communication between zone governors and the party’s leadership. Additionally, he charged them with facilitating the commencement of a comprehensive reconciliation process among disaffected party members within their respective zones.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has been designated to oversee APC activities in the South-west zone, while Senator Hope Uzodinma of Imo State will spearhead efforts in the South East. Similarly, Governor Bassey Otu of Cross Rivers State will lead the South-South region, with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State assigned to the North Central. Additionally, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State will oversee activities in the North-East, and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State will take charge of the North-West.

The committee’s primary responsibilities include mobilizing zone governors for active participation in party affairs both within and beyond their regions.

This initiative comes amidst efforts to enhance party cohesion and effectiveness as the APC navigates through various political challenges across the nation.
