Air Peace celebrates a groundbreaking moment in Nigerian aviation with the successful inauguration of its direct flight from Lagos to London on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Led by CEO Allen Onyema and esteemed guests, the airline embarked on this historic journey from Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport to London’s Gatwick Airport, marking a significant milestone in Air Peace’s global expansion efforts.
The flight, operated by Air Peace’s Boeing 777 aircraft, was captured in a joyous video shared online, depicting the aircraft’s graceful touchdown in London. Upon arrival, the Nigerian community in the UK, alongside officials from The Nigerian High Commission UK led by Ambassador Sarafa Isola, warmly received the passengers, signaling a moment of pride and celebration.
Among the notable personalities on board were Allen Onyema and his wife, Alice; Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Obiora Okonkwo; Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo; renowned businessman and socialite, Obi Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana); former president of the Nigeria Bar Association, Olumide Apata, among others. Additionally, prominent Nollywood stars including Uche Jombo, Chioma Akpotha, Ufuoma McDermott, and Omoni Oboli added to the celebratory atmosphere, as captured in a delightful video shared online.
