Agnes Forte, a visually impaired mother who recently gave birth to twins, finds herself unable to leave the hospital due to outstanding delivery bills.

The birth of the twins occurred on Wednesday, as reported by BUSHRADIOGIST Metro.

Forte’s ordeal began on November 28, 2023, when she raised an alarm over the disappearance of her one-year-old child, Excel, from their residence in the Akowonjo area of Lagos State. At that time, she was in the room while her 13-year-old children, Joy and Excel, were playing in the corridor. Despite her efforts, she couldn’t locate them thereafter.

Although Forte expressed joy at the safe arrival of her twins, her missing daughter remains a source of concern. Meanwhile, she and her husband, John Forte, are grappling with the accumulated hospital bills.

Forte shared her predicament, stating, “I have been unable to leave the hospital since I gave birth to my twins. We were given a bill of N150,000, and my husband could pay N70,000. He has been trying to balance up. We have been told to get ready to vacate the bed we are using because of limited bed spaces. And what this means is that we may end up sleeping on the floor.”

John Forte, her husband, is seeking to negotiate with the hospital management to arrange a payment plan for the outstanding bills. He expressed their desire to leave the hospital premises but emphasized their inability to do so until the financial obligations are met.

The longer they remain in the hospital, the more their bill accumulates, adding to their distress.

The couple’s hope lies in the cooperation of the hospital management to sign an undertaking for settling the remaining balance.
