Wike Fires Back At Detractors: Some Will Always Find Reason To Complain....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Minister Nyesom Wike of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has emphatically rebutted critics questioning the advancements witnessed in the FCT since his tenure began. Labeling those unwilling to acknowledge the positive transformations in the nation’s capital as individuals driven by pessimism, Wike defended the ongoing initiatives aimed at addressing infrastructure deficits.

During a recent inspection tour of various road projects across the FCT, Minister Wike visited sites including the Guzape Lot 2 project managed by Gilmor Construction, the Goodluck Jonathan Expressway project executed by Salini Nigeria Limited, road resurfacing endeavors in Asokoro handled by Julius Berger, and infrastructure enhancements in the Diplomatic Area.

“I’ve consistently maintained that there exist individuals who will never find contentment in their lives. Anyone refuting the evident improvements in street lighting is simply being cynical. While we grapple with the challenge of repairing vandalized infrastructure, progress is undeniable,” asserted Wike.

Addressing concerns regarding streetlight vandalism and public safety, the Minister acknowledged the complexities involved in restoration efforts but assured the public of ongoing endeavors to tackle these issues head-on.

In response to allegations of escalating criminal activities, Wike suggested that accusers might have ulterior motives, hinting at potential complicity.

“When Salini mentions they’ve conducted tests and await commissioning for the lights to illuminate, perhaps these are the areas perceived as lacking illumination. As for those branding others as criminals, it’s possible they themselves are part of the problem. Recognizing governmental strides in improvement is imperative. Our focus extends beyond roads to encompass healthcare, education, and agriculture. It’s a reality some find challenging to accept, but change is evident,” emphasized Wike.
