During the meeting, Oshiomhole conveyed optimism about the state of the economy, despite current high prices, emphasizing ongoing efforts to improve earnings and alleviate financial stress among the populace. The discussion also touched on the upcoming elections in Edo State, with Oshiomole expressing confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s preparation and unity.

Oshiomhole highlighted the APC’s resolution of issues from the primaries and its readiness to launch a comprehensive campaign. He contrasted this with the crises facing other parties, including the Labour Party, underscoring the APC’s advantage. He assured that the party has a strong campaign council in place and is awaiting the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) signal to commence campaigning on April 24.

The meeting with President Tinubu was described as uplifting, with Oshiomhole leaving with a sense of paternal support.
