Rivers State Police Command Successfully Eliminates Notorious Gang Leader Connected to CDC Chairman’s Assassination

In a significant breakthrough, the Rivers State Police Command has successfully neutralized Peter Chukwu, famously known as Daddy Chukwu, a key figure in the criminal underworld and linked to the brutal assassination of Ndidi Livingstone, the Community Development Committee Chairman of Mgboshimini in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

Ndidi Livingstone tragically lost his life in a heinous attack as he left a church, where assailants ruthlessly shot him in the head and stomach before dragging him in front of his family. The pursuit of justice for this crime has been ongoing, and the recent operation led by Commissioner Olatunji Disu has brought closure to the community.

Peter Chukwu, also implicated in a previous attack that claimed the lives of 22 community members, had managed to evade capture by fleeing the state. However, the relentless efforts of law enforcement, including tactical teams from Rivers State and support from the Delta State Police Command, finally led to his downfall.

Intelligence operations pinpointed Chukwu’s location to a hideout in Ibusa, Delta State, where he sought refuge with a herbalist for spiritual protection. Despite his attempts to resist arrest and flee, Chukwu sustained fatal injuries during the operation and succumbed to them while being transported to the hospital.

Commissioner Disu underscored the significance of Chukwu’s capture, bringing a sense of justice and closure to the families of the victims and the entire community.
