Police In Imo State Capture Notorious Kidnap Boss, Retrieve Hijacked Vehicle....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Imo State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit, under the leadership of CSP Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa, has apprehended a notorious kidnap kingpin, Aralu Chukwudi Charis, aged 40, from Otolo in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State.

According to a statement by ASP Henry Okoye, the police spokesperson, the arrest followed credible intelligence and a well-coordinated operation. On April 13, the operatives raided the criminal hideout of the suspect at Mgbidi in Oru East LGA of Imo State, where he was ambushed and arrested.

The suspect is alleged to have orchestrated numerous kidnapping and armed robbery operations in Imo State.

“During the search of his hideout, a Toyota Camry, 2005 model, with registration number MUS 509 DS Lagos, reportedly stolen, was recovered. He confessed to being the gang leader of a dangerous criminal syndicate terrorizing the people of Imo State,” the statement reads.

The police stated that the suspect will face prosecution upon the conclusion of a thorough investigation.

Meanwhile, Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to combating criminal syndicates causing insecurity in the state. He urged the residents, especially the youth, to steer clear of crime, warning that perpetrators will be exposed and face consequences.
