Tanko Lami, a Nigerian woman, was taken aback upon receiving an itemized bill outlining fees for pre-kindergarten students.

“Development Levy of 300k, what does that even mean? Are they going to grow teeth and brain cells for my child because I don’t understand. 55k for books for a pre-Kindergarten. This child hasn’t even completed kindergarten yet, and books worth 55k at this stage,” she expressed in a Facebook post on Friday, April 19.

“As a mother, how many books have I read in my entire life? And that uniform. Is my child a model… wearing the same uniform that he will spill food on? Really?” she questioned.
