Video Evidence Prompts FG Close Abuja Private School Due To Bullying

The Lead British International School in Abuja has been closed by the Federal Government following allegations of bullying, according to reports. This development was disclosed during a press briefing held on the school premises, attended by concerned parents, on Tuesday.

It has been revealed that the school will remain closed for three days pending the conclusion of investigations into the bullying allegations. The decision to shut down the school came after the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, paid a visit to the institution.

In a video footage obtained by our correspondent, the minister can be seen expressing her disapproval of the bullying incident during her visit and assuring the victim of justice. Kennedy-Ohaneye also urged the school management to address the issue of bullying within the institution and provide necessary support to students who may have been victims in the past.

The closure of Lead British International School underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of students across educational institutions in the country.
