Following an incident of runway excursion involving Dana Air, a Nigerian carrier, at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport, the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has instructed the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to suspend the airline’s operations pending comprehensive fleet audits.
In a letter addressed to the NCAA and signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole, concerns were raised regarding recent incidents involving Dana Air, prompting the decision to suspend its operations.
