Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, views his removal from office as a divine decree. Following the dissolution of his emirate along with four others in Kano state, he expressed his acceptance of the decision, stating to BBC Hausa that he has no intention of contesting it in court.

Abdulkadir emphasized that while nobody would find joy in such circumstances, he believes it is Allah’s will, predestined long before their birth. Consequently, he harbors no resentment towards anyone and has embraced the situation with sincerity.
