The Delta State Police Command has apprehended three individuals for falsely accusing its officers of stealing their gold chain valued at N50 million during a routine stop and search operation.
SP Bright Edafe, the command’s spokesperson, revealed this information via his official communication channel. According to Edafe, the three men were initially stopped and searched by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) officers, after which they were allowed to proceed. However, they returned later in the day, alleging that their gold chain worth N50 million had been stolen by the police.
This accusation resulted in humiliation for the officers who were simply carrying out their duties. Edafe urged the public to stay tuned for further details on the incident.
