The first arrest occurred during a routine patrol near the Agoro Level Crossing area, where Babangida Sani, 37, from Faskari Local Government Area in Katsina State, was apprehended. Sani was found in possession of an AK-47 rifle while traveling from Jos to Faskari on a commercial motorcycle. The motorcycle’s driver fled but was later captured.

Additionally, the Anti-Car Theft Unit of the command’s Criminal Investigation Department recovered two abandoned vehicles, a Toyota Matrix (Reg No: DKA 321 TT) and a Toyota Camry LE (Reg No: KGK 114 AA), based on a tip-off in Mogadishu, Kaduna. The following day, they retrieved a stolen white Toyota Hilux van (Reg No: GWA 845 CY) from Yazid Hotel on Ali Akilu Road, Kaduna.

Further investigations led to the arrest of Sa’ad Abdullahi, Salihu Musa, and Usman Zubairu Ganu, all from Zamfara State, who were found in possession of additional suspected stolen vehicles, a Honda Accord (Reg No: RBC 143 MQ) and a Mercedes Benz (Reg No: BKD 137 SB).

In another incident, the DPO Millennium City Division, acting on information from the Sabon Gida vigilante group, apprehended three armed men on a motorcycle suspected of carrying concealed rifles near Maraban Rido village, Sabo Area of Responsibility. While two suspects escaped, the motorcycle rider, Buhari Madaki, 26, was captured along with his vehicle.

ASP Hassan emphasized ongoing investigations into these incidents and reassured the public of the command’s commitment to ensuring safety and security in Kaduna State. He also thanked the public for their cooperation in these efforts.
