APC New Media Campaign Council Slams PDP’s Eight-Year Misrule in Edo StateThe All Progressives Congress (APC) New Media Campaign Council has issued a scathing critique of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) administration in Edo State, calling on the electorate to reject the PDP in the forthcoming Edo election. The statement emphasized the deplorable condition of Edo’s roads, which have deteriorated into hazardous, pothole-ridden pathways, causing frequent accidents and vehicle damage. “Our roads, once vital to economic activities, are now virtually impassable due to PDP’s gross neglect,” the release stated.
The APC also condemned the state of educational institutions, pointing to dilapidated schools and inadequate facilities that jeopardize the future of Edo’s children. “Our children are forced to learn in environments unfit for education,” the statement read, underscoring the urgent need for change.
Healthcare services in Edo have similarly suffered under the PDP, with hospitals facing shortages of essential supplies and staff, leading to a healthcare crisis marked by preventable diseases and deaths. The APC labeled the state of healthcare as “a state of disrepair.”
Furthermore, the APC criticized the lack of infrastructure development, citing numerous unfulfilled promises and a general absence of basic amenities. The PDP’s poor policy implementation has stunted Edo’s growth, leaving it lagging behind other states.
The agricultural sector, once a beacon of hope, has been left in ruins due to failed PDP schemes, resulting in financial ruin for farmers. “The PDP’s agricultural schemes have been nothing short of a disaster,” the statement declared.
The APC also highlighted the continuous quarrels between the PDP government, political leaders, and traditional rulers, which have created instability and diverted attention from governance and development. “This constant bickering has further harmed the people of Edo State,” the release noted.
In light of these failures, the APC urged Edo voters to consider the transformative agenda promised by the Renewed Hope Administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The APC envisions a future where roads are safe, schools are well-equipped, healthcare is accessible, and infrastructure meets the needs of communities.
“Edo State cannot afford another term of PDP’s incompetence and neglect. The time for change is now. Vote APC for a better, brighter Edo State,” the statement concluded.
