A Nigerian man, Douglas B. Jatau, has recounted the story of his wife’s closest friend, whose marriage ended after her husband left her for another woman.

Douglas shared the account while responding to a Facebook post that stigmatized divorced women.

According to him, the man abandoned his wife to marry someone else, but the new wife treated him harshly, which eventually led to the collapse of that union.

He explained that the man later returned to his ex-wife, pleading for forgiveness, and the two reconciled.

Douglas stressed that people should avoid hastily judging divorced women, as the breakdown of a marriage is not always their fault.
