After voting, Governor Otti praised the overall peaceful atmosphere in the 4,062 polling units throughout Abia, though he noted minor disturbances in Ohafia and Obingwa Local Government Areas that security forces promptly addressed.
Emphasizing the significance of grassroots governance, Otti stated that effective local administration is vital for achieving Abia’s comprehensive development objectives. He urged residents to prioritize credibility and effectiveness over party affiliations when choosing candidates.
“If you want to continue enjoying the benefits of democracy and witness real performance, you need to vote for credible leaders, not just for a political party,” Otti remarked.
