Abubakar Momoh Welcomes Fubara to APC, Says the South South Is Fully Batified

Speaking on the development, Momoh congratulated Governor Fubara and commended his decision to align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership vision, which he said is “restoring confidence, rebuilding trust, and reuniting Nigeria across regions and party lines.”
“With all six governors in the South South now proudly members of the APC, the message is clear — the region has embraced progress, unity, and partnership under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The South South is fully Batified,” Momoh declared.
The Minister emphasized that the move represents a new era of political alignment that will strengthen collaboration between the Federal Government and the sub-national governments in the region, ensuring faster delivery of development projects and deeper policy coordination.
He further commended President Tinubu for fostering a political atmosphere that encourages inclusion and consensus-building across party lines, noting that his administration’s reforms — from economic stabilization and infrastructure renewal to foreign investment revival and energy transition initiatives — are restoring Nigeria’s credibility globally.
“President Tinubu’s steady leadership is uniting the nation in purpose. The South South has now joined hands fully with the centre, and together we will drive the next phase of growth and prosperity,” Momoh added.
The Minister expressed optimism that the region’s political unity will accelerate ongoing plans for regional integration and create stronger synergy for sustainable development under the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope framework.
