Marcus, previously employed as a chauffeur by the victims, Adebola Ezekiel, 80, and his wife, Abiodun Ezekiel, 79, was among multiple suspects presented by Commissioner of Police Benneth Igweh of the Federal Capital Territory Command during a recent press briefing.According to Igweh, the investigation began promptly after the incident on March 31, 2024, leading to the arrest of the suspect, who had served as a driver for the deceased couple. The police tracked Marcus down to his hideout in Obajana, Kogi State.
The commissioner stated that Marcus confessed to entering the victims’ home on the same day, murdering them, and stealing their phones and ATM cards.In another development, the police arrested two additional suspects on April 11, 2024, in connection with a separate homicide case in the Mabushi area of Abuja.
Officers from the Mabushi division acted on a tip-off regarding the discreet transportation of Bilkisu Mohammed’s body.
