In response, Adeola’s spokesperson, Kayode Odunaro, refuted the claims, explaining that the phrase “and other facilities, Ogun State” on the project signboard implies that the project could include various infrastructure developments across the state, not just the Ake Pavilion. He admitted that while there is a budget for renovating the Ake Pavilion, the project itself remains under construction.
