Nollywood actor Prince Eke has sharply criticised Nigerian celebrities, claiming they lack the integrity to positively influence the public.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

On his Instagram page, Eke argued that many stars remain silent about poor governance in Nigeria because they wait for politicians to throw them small handouts in exchange for performing at campaigns.

He pointed out that instead of advocating for a functional system in the film industry that would allow them to earn royalties from their work, celebrities often prioritize being exploited by politicians contributing to the nation’s decline.

Eke added that numerous celebrities are financially struggling, desperate, and willing to compromise their conscience for personal gain.

He wrote:
*”The sooner you realize that most of these so-called celebrities are not worth following, the better. Actors and musicians watched Nigeria sink in corruption and mismanagement and kept silent. Why? Because they are waiting for politicians to toss them a few peanuts so they can perform at campaign events.

“If Nigeria actually functioned properly, many of them would still be earning royalties from films they starred in decades ago. But instead of demanding a fair system, they queue up to be used by the very politicians destroying the country.

“So don’t be surprised when you see them standing beside oppressors. Many are broke, desperate, and willing to sell their conscience to the highest bidder. After all, conscience no dey put food on their table.”*
