Actress Reveals Sh*cking Truth: My Marriage Crashed Over ₦4 Billion Deal

Renowned Kannywood actress Mansura Isa has confirmed the end of her second marriage, describing the experience as abrupt and deeply unsettling. She revealed that what began as a relationship built on love turned out to be a calculated move by her husband, who allegedly had ulterior motives.

Speaking on the BBC Hausa programme Mahangar Zamani, Isa opened up alongside fellow veteran actress Fati Mohammad, recounting the shocking events that unfolded. According to her, the man she married was initially introduced to her by an uncle while she was in Lagos for a business deal. Lacking a representative to manage a lucrative contract worth ₦4 billion, she reached out to the man for assistance.

Not long after, he proposed marriage. Believing in his sincerity and reassured by his promise to support her acting career, she agreed. They wed quietly at night, and by morning, he had travelled back to Lagos.

However, Isa soon realized his intentions were far from romantic. She disclosed that on their wedding day, he presented her with a contract document to authorize him to manage the multi-billion naira deal on her behalf as her husband. From that moment, he assumed control of all communications related to the contract and completely sidelined her.

“I never heard from him again,” she said. “He stopped taking my calls and eventually divorced me.”

Isa further stated that when others questioned him in Lagos, he claimed to have “forgotten” he was married. Though he initially resisted granting a divorce, he eventually did so under pressure.

The actress’s second marriage gained public attention in June 2024 following reports of her remarriage after her widely-publicized separation from fellow actor Sani Danja, with whom she shares four children: Iman, Khalifa, Sultan, and Sudais. Their previous union was once considered an exemplary celebrity marriage in Kannywood.
