The announcement was made during the formal closing ceremony of the orientation course for the 2023 Batch ‘C’ stream I in Girei Local Government Area.

Governor Fintiri, represented by his Deputy, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, highlighted the importance of completing the SAED training, stating that it would empower the youth to create job opportunities instead of solely seeking employment.

Expressing his satisfaction with the collaboration between NYSC, NNPC, and Bank of Industry to provide financial literacy training, Governor Fintiri announced a N10-million grant for those who successfully undergo the necessary stages to establish their businesses, describing it as a golden opportunity for financial independence.

Fintiri urged NYSC members to respect local customs and cultures and contribute positively to the development of their host communities.

He particularly addressed those assigned to schools, urging them to view the opportunity as an honorable one to assist younger students and to approach their assignments with a positive mindset.

Governor Fintiri cautioned employers not to reject youth corps participants posted to their organizations.

The NYSC Coordinator for Adamawa, Mr. Jingi Denis, expressed gratitude to Governor Fintiri for his support of the NYSC scheme and encouraged corps members to uphold the work ethic, perseverance, and patriotism instilled during the Orientation Course.

Denis reminded them of their oath of allegiance and urged them to perform their duties diligently in accordance with the NYSC Act, Bye-Laws, and workplace regulations.
