The ADC leaders and members also integrated their entire organizational structures into the APC, as stated in a press release from their media office in Abuja.

Among the defectors was Hon. Idowu Ibikunle, the only ADC member of the state Assembly, representing Yagba West State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly. In announcing his support for the APC candidate, he pledged to conduct an extensive campaign on his behalf.

During the defection event held in Lokoja, he emphasized that the ADC members in the state had collectively decided to rally behind Ododo, whom they consider the most qualified candidate to lead the state among all the gubernatorial candidates.

He revealed that a five-member committee tasked with evaluating all the candidates in the race had concluded in their report that Ododo was the ideal candidate to vote for in the upcoming election.

He emphasized the importance of building upon the achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello across various sectors, and he believes that Ododo will continue the progress initiated by the current governor.
