According to Pastor Adeboye, the ailing head of state had exhausted all medical options without success and was advised to seek spiritual help after hearing of miraculous healings associated with his ministry.

The president reportedly contacted one of Adeboye’s pastors and requested a personal visit from the revered cleric. However, Adeboye declined, stating that his allegiance to God supersedes any human authority.

Speaking during the July Holy Ghost Service held Friday night at Redemption City in Mowe, Ogun State, the pastor said:

“I recall a case involving an African president who was dealing with a health issue no doctor could fix. He heard there was a man of God who could help, so he reached out through our pastor based in the capital of his country, asking for me to come.

I told the pastor to inform His Excellency that I was very busy. I didn’t explain further, but in my heart, I knew there is One Excellency greater than all.”

Adeboye added that he told the pastor to let the president know his calendar had been booked a year in advance.

Eventually, the president decided to travel to Nigeria, and according to Adeboye, God healed him the very day he stepped foot on the campgrounds.

In the same sermon, Pastor Adeboye warned his congregation about the dangers of anger, describing it as a form of temporary insanity that can derail one’s destiny.

“Anger is temporary madness. No matter what people do or say, don’t take the bait. Many have tried to provoke me with insults and false accusations, but I refuse to react,” he said.

He urged his members to remain calm under provocation, emphasizing that losing control to anger could destroy years of destiny and progress.
