Dubbed the “Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery,” the governor emphasized its strategic purpose in accelerating the rejuvenation of the state’s economy across diverse domains. In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke articulated his administration’s dedication to placing the state on a trajectory of sustainable development.

During the budget signing ceremony, Adeleke asserted, “Our focus is to put the state on the path of sustainable development, hence we are rebuilding all the sectors, namely education, health, sports, roads, agriculture, creative industry, digital economy, general infrastructure, alongside women and youth-focused programs and policies.”

He commended the State Assembly for their swift processing of the appropriation bill and expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts of his team with various assembly committees throughout the budgetary process. Adeleke emphasized, “We will ensure implementation as stipulated to reconstruct the society and ensure recovery of critical sectors.”

This commitment underscores the governor’s determination to foster positive growth and development, emphasizing the importance of reconstructing essential areas to achieve comprehensive societal recovery. The budget’s execution is expected to play a pivotal role in reshaping Osun State’s landscape and promoting the well-being of its citizens.
