Adeyanju Recat To Naysayers About Tinubu’s 2027 Election

Prominent lawyer and socio-political analyst, Deji Adeyanju, has asserted that social media campaigns won’t prevent President Bola Tinubu from securing re-election in 2027.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Adeyanju maintained that unless the opposition unites under a single platform, Tinubu’s victory in the next presidential election is almost guaranteed.

As the Convener of Concerned Nigerians, he stressed that the persistent infighting among opposition figures like Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, along with their followers, continues to weaken any real challenge to the current administration.

He emphasized that even with a unified opposition, unseating Tinubu would require a revolutionary-level effort at the polls.

“There’s absolutely nothing anyone can say on social media that will prevent Tinubu from clinching a second term,” Adeyanju wrote. “Unless Atiku, Obi, and other opposition leaders — along with their supporters — come together and stop the internal squabbles, Tinubu’s win is inevitable. Even with unity, they’d need to ignite a revolutionary movement to stand a chance.”

In a separate development, Adeyanju also addressed claims regarding the recent arrest of social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).

He clarified that Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) had no involvement in the arrest, countering online speculations that the arrest was linked to VDM’s earlier visit to a bank branch over suspicious transactions on his mother’s account.

According to Adeyanju, “GTBank had nothing to do with my client’s arrest. The incident occurred at a different location and was executed by government agents.” He confirmed that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detained VDM in Abuja’s Area 3 shortly after his banking complaint.
